2001
  • ‘Pilgrim’s Choice’ brand is UK’s fasted growing pre-packed cheddar with year on year growth of 206%.
  • 2.5 million plus packs of Kerrygold butter sold in Germany each week.
2002
  • 40th anniversary of the launch of Kerrygold butter in the United Kingdom in 1962.
  • Tom Cleary retires after 28 years service on the Board, 20 of which he served as Chairman.
  • New Board elected.
  • Michael Cronin elected new Chairman.
2003
  • IDB acquires Meadow Cheese Company in the UK.
  • The Kerrygold brand celebrates 30 successful years in Germany.
2004
  • EU enlarged to number 25 members.
  • Kerrygold ‘Spreadable’ leading brand in pure butter sector.
2005
  • A street named Kerrygold Strasse in Germany following IDB Deutschland’s application for a new packaging site outside Krefeld.
  • IDB subsidiary in Belgium, Nikita, launches a new low fat salad range under the ‘Be Fit’ brand.
  • DPI US consolidates its position as one of the top three national marketers and distributors of speciality foods on the continent.
  • ‘Pilgrims Choice’ cheese attains number two position in UK market.
2006
  • Noel Cawley retires as Chief Executive after 17 years at the helm.
  • Noel Coakley appointed as Chief Executive.
  • IDB reports turnover of over €2 billion.
  • Major investment announced (€38m) for redevelopment of UK packing operations at Leek, Staffordshire.
  • Kerrygold Regato rebranded as Kerrygold Classic Regato in Greece.
2009
  • Noel Coakley resigns
  • Dr. Sean Brady appointed Interim Chief Executive
  • September confirmation of the appointment of Kevin Lane as Chief Executive to the Irish Dairy Board commencing 4th January 2010.
2010
  • IDB Awarded "Export of the Year 2010" by the Irish Exporters Association in recognition of its export achievements and economic contribution to the country over the years.
  • Record sales of Kerrygold in the year boosted by the launch of Kerrygold extra in Germany. Kerrygold Extra won a number of awards since being launch in Germany in late 2009, including Top Brand 2010 (Lebensmittelzeitung), Hit 2010 (Lebensmittelpraxis) Rank 1 and Product of the Year 2011 (Lebensmittelpraxis) Gold.
  • In Sub-Saharan Africa, the IDB successfully launched Beo Milk, a new brand of fat filled milk powder.
  • The IDB's British consumer foods businesses restructured under Adams Foods Limited.
  • Michael Cronin stepped down as chairman and resigned from the board of directors. He served 12 years on the board of directors, eight as chairman. Vincent Buckley was elected Chairman of the IDB.
