IDB appoints Global Marketing & Innovation Director

The Irish Dairy Board (IDB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Fergal McGarry as Global Marketing & Innovation Director.

Mr. McGarry joins the IDB from Johnson & Johnson where he held the position of Business Unit Director EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa). Since he joined Johnson & Johnson in 1995, he has held a number of senior marketing and business roles in Ireland and abroad, including Commercial Director, Nordics; Managing Director, Ireland; and General Manager, UK and Ireland. Prior to this, Mr. McGarry held positions with Warner Lambert, in Canada and Allied Irish Bank Plc, in Dublin. He holds a BBS from Dublin City University and an MBA from York University in Toronto, Canada.

This senior appointment is in line with the IDB's objective of preparing the group for the expansion forecast under Food Harvest 2020, aligning its growth objectives around new product development and marketing, and positioning the group to deliver on its ambitious strategic growth programme.
